Terms of use

Effective 2026-09-09

These terms apply to this website, the Promtect Core beta software, and waitlist communications operated by AK DevOps Solutions SL. By using them, you agree to these terms and the license that accompanies the software.

1. Software license

Promtect Core is source-available fair-code under the Sustainable Use License (SUL). The repository license, not marketing copy, controls your rights to use, modify, and distribute the software.

2. Beta status and scope

Core is beta. Known-format masking, request masking, streaming restoration, and strict mode are available capabilities on supported paths; other capabilities are beta or planned as listed in the edition contract. Promtect does not promise to identify every secret or protect traffic outside its documented boundary.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for routing only authorized traffic, protecting your credentials, choosing and reviewing your configured upstream, testing the software for your use case, and rotating any credential you believe may have been exposed.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the site or software to violate law, probe systems without authorization, interfere with service operation, or misrepresent Promtect's licensing or product status.

5. No security guarantee

The software is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Detection is format- and context-dependent. You remain responsible for security controls, backups, incident response, and compliance obligations.

6. Liability and changes

To the extent permitted by applicable law, AK DevOps Solutions SL is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the beta software or site. Mandatory statutory rights are unaffected. We may update these terms by publishing a new effective date.
